THE SWEET LIFE
KBM has worked with hundreds of amazing humans and brands. Not all of them have been made into cookies, but they were all delicious to work with.
In October 2019, KBM hosted Rabia Chaudry for a three-day event to support the efforts to free Adnan Syed. Thereafter, Katy worked on Rabia’s brand through the launch of her 2022 memoir, Fatty Fatty Boom Boom. Their personal and professional relationship has taken them around the country - and into each other’s hearts.
In an effort to align the Magnolia brand with a values-based discussion for the Waco, Texas-based executive team, Katy created an event with Rabia Chaudry + Sarah Cailean that included a 3-day event. Through the lens of wrongful convictions and cold case investigations, the programming defined how to ask questions and use critical thinking to solve problems.
KBM has branded and managed homicide investigator and podcast extraordinaire, Sarah Cailean. Sarah is a cold case homicide detective who leads true crime discussions all over the country in addition to her hit podcasts, Why Can't We Talk About Amanda's Mom? and What Happened To Jennifer Judd?
After raising her kids on Laurie Berkner Band’s music, Katy had the opportunity to create Laurie’s brand strategy and work with the New York-based team.
UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCES

THE TODAY SHOW
There are moments in life that feel surreal, like you’ve somehow slipped into another dimension or wandered onto the set of a blockbuster film.
That’s exactly what happened to me one morning at NBC Studios in New York City, while accompanying Rabia Chaudry on her book launch for her memoir, Fatty Fatty Boom Boom — an incredible moment in itself.
But what happened in the green room?
Let’s just say it was a plot twist I couldn’t have scripted in my head if I tried.

ONE DEGREE OF KEVIN BACON
Sometimes work takes me to exciting places, for example, that time I went to New York City with my client, Sarah Cailean, for one of her live true crime shows. If you haven’t heard of Sarah (first, have you been living under a rock?), she’s a former police officer turned independent consultant who specializes in cold case homicides and disappearances.
She is the investigator and host of two hit podcasts — Why can’t we talk about Amanda’s mom? and Who Killed Jennifer Judd? — and she worked on a true crime documentary, Hell in the Heartland.
You know, just your everyday crime-fighting superhero.

LUNCH WITH LESTER HOLT
There are work lunches, and then there are the kind of lunches where you’re sitting across from one of the most iconic news anchors in the country, chatting about Rabia Chaudry’s amazing work on innocence cases around the country, including her NYT bestselling book, and landmark case, of Adnan Syed.
Lester Holt is the anchor of NBC Nightly News and Dateline, all with a voice as smooth as butter.
Lester shares a deep interest in wrongful conviction cases making this an incredible opportunity to hear his thoughts.
“I love helping others succeed with the support of what I’ve learned about marketing throughout my career. Their success is my success, and my heart is never more full than when my clients trust me to help them reach their ambitions and goals in life.”
